About Us
At Greenfields Day Nursery, we provide the children with a warm, safe and stimulating environment.
The nursery is situated on the Sports Field in the Sports Pavilion surrounded by an open field.
We care for children between the ages of 3 months and 4 years and pride ourselves on continuity of staff which is often difficult in the nursery environment. We aim to provide a rewarding place for the staff to be, as well as the children. ‘Happy Staff makes for Happy Children’.
The nursery is open Monday to Thursday 7.45am- 5.45pm and Friday 7.45am-5.30pm. We are open all year except for Bank Holidays and a short break over the Christmas period.
Staffing
Staff ratios are:
1 -3 = under 2 years
1 -4 = 2 -3 years
1 -8 = 3 years+
We are first aid trained as a group and encourage all new staff to carry this out too. All staff are DBS checked.
Meals
At the nursery we prepare meals for the children, we have a 3-week running menu which is available to view during a nursery visit.
8.00-8.15am Breakfast (cereals) - Cheerios, Shreddies, Multigrain Boulders, Ready Brek or Multigrain shapes
10.00am Morning snack time- Either 2 choices of fruit, Cheese and crackers, Toast with milk/water or pittas with crunchy vegetable sticks and houmous dip
12.00pm Lunchtime- Hot meal cooked on the premises each day.
2.45pm Afternoon snack-time- Biscuit with milk/water
4.00pm Tea time- light tea of either sandwich thins, scrambled egg, beans on toast, etc
Nursery Fees
From 1st January 2023
Under 2's
Full time fee: £907.50 (includes all meals)
Daily fee: £62.50 (includes all meals)
Hourly: £11.55
2-3 Years
Full time fee: £885.50 (includes all meals)
Daily fee: £60.50 (includes all meals)
Hourly: £11.27
3 Years+
Full time fee: £874.50 (includes all meals)
Daily fee: £58.30 (includes all meals)
Hourly: £11
New Government Funding
We accept company vouchers, the government vouchers and the new 2 year old funding.
From April 2024, children from 2 years old and upwards will receive funding, and from September 2024 all children from 9 months will receive funding from the government.*
As we are a stretched setting (open all year), our funding is either 11.4 hours per week (or 22.8 for 3+ age group).
Funding from April 2024:
2+ 11.4hrs a week @ £8 an hour x 4 weeks = £364.80 per month
3+ 11.4hrs a week @ £5.40 an hour x 4 weeks = £246.24 per month
22.8hrs a week @ £5.40 an hour x 4 weeks = £492.48
Funding from September 2024:
9 months to 2 years 11.4hrs a week @ £10.70 an hour x 4 weeks = £487.92 per month
