Hi, I am Susan the Nursery Owner/Manager, I opened the nursery in October 2000 and since then I have worked alongside my staff to ensure we give each child the best care we can to nurture them through early childhood and get them ready for life at school. I am a hands on Manager which enables me to get to know the families which is really important. I am SENCO and ENCO trained.

Megan

Hello, I’m Megan and I am the nursery's deputy manager and the toddler room leader! I am Level 3 Qualified as an Early Years Educator (after completing my qualification with a distinction in February 2023) & love watching my toddlers grow. I've worked at Greenfields for 5 & a half years (however I’ve been a part of Greenfields since I was 18 months old - I too came to Greenfields when I was little). I oversee the growth and development of each and every child in my room, and ensure that we create lasting supportive relationships with parents and carers so that they feel they can trust us with caring for their children. As we are a small nursery, we are very lucky that every child knows every member of staff in the nursery, and vice versa - which certainly helps with transitions such as moving from the baby room to the toddler room, and the toddler room to the preschool room. We are a big family at Greenfields and look forward to welcoming you to our nursery.

Abbie

Hi I’m Abbie, I work in the toddler room, I joined the team at Greenfields day nursery in May 2021. I am a Qualified Level 3 Early Years Educator and I am a deputy manager. I help to plan a variety of fun activities to support the children’s development and interests. I enjoy working with the toddlers and watching them grow, by supporting their development and preparing them for their transition to the pre-school room. I also work in partnership with the toddlers parents to ensure we can support them and their child’s development and wellbeing. The toddler room is a fun, caring and exciting environment for the children.

Rachel

Hi I’m Rachel, I have been working at Greenfields day nursery for the last 17 years. I have a NVQ level 2 & 3 in the early years foundation stage. I am a Senior Nursery Practitioner and the Lead in the pre school room looking after the older Preschool group . We teach the children through learning and play, making sure all children learn in a safe and positive environment while monitoring each child’s progress and supporting any child’s additional needs. We ensure we work in close partnerships with parents/carers and local authorities for support. Our aim is for the children in our care to be socially, emotionally and physically ready for school. I am SENCO trained.

Hello, My name is Leanne. I joined Greenfields Day Nursery in April 2023, previously I have had lots of experience working in a childcare setting, playgroup and junior school. As well as this I am a Mum of 4. I work in the toddler room. I really love getting to know the children at the nursery and watching them develop and learn, as well as growing in confidence and letting their personalities shine.

Hi, I'm Deb, you'll find me in the preschool room at Greenfields and look after the younger preschool group assisted by Katie H. I've worked here for 2 1/2 years. Being Level 2 Qualified, and a mum of two children, means that I am able to provide the preschoolers here with a day packed with age-appropriate learning in a fun, enriching and caring environment. Being a small village nursery means that we are able to interact with all of the children that attend which leads to them leaving us with confidence and independence that they need for starting school.

Hi, I'm Roger, a nursery assistant, I work in the Toddler and Pre-school room and have done for over 20yrs. I assist the staff in the room with activities for the children and enjoy watching the children grow in confidence.

Hi, I'm Katie - I am a nursery assistant in the Preschool room and am currently studying for the Level 3 Early Years and Childcare qualification. Deb and I work together with the Younger Pre-school group. I started at Greenfields in October 2023 and I love watching the children grow and learn new things.

Hi I'm Katie, a nursery assistant in the Toddler room. I started at the nursery in August 2024. I love helping the children learn new skills, playing group activities is my favourite, and its great to see how their confidence is growing as they move up through the nursery . I am studying for a degree in 'All about Psychology in childhood' and am working towards becoming a SENCO too.
